Robin Portnoff is a self-taught painter from Stockholm, Sweden. Born in 1980.

I paint portraits of interdimensional beings, semi-mechanical existentialists, paradoxical time travellers and neo-victorian aliens; those that populate the extra-terrestial fairytales and enigmatic unrealities beyond the domain we call reality.

"Android Limbs Barry" by Robin PortnoffAcrylics and markers on 400 gsm paper, 36x48 cm.2014While Barry was definitely one of the better looking guys in the crew, he had to work just as hard to get up to par with their dance routine. With faulty legs he had to rely mostly on quick, jerking motions originating from the areas above his waistline. Barry was regularly picked on for his choice of classical dance, a style the Old World referred to as ‘Popping’. Sure, it’s hard to stay fresh when you’re in a dance crew with guys bobbing around in the contemporary styles of Alpha Tango, Neo-Flashdance, Zblorph and Vector Twist.
